Architectural advancements have given foundation to many iconic buildings over here. Although Pakistan still has a long way ahead in toning internationally, it still has remarkable skyscrapers. Bahria Icon Tower
Owned by the Bahria Town Group, this award-winning structure stands tall at 62 storyes (980 ft.). It currently holds the plank for the tallest building in Pakistan. It has even made its name among the tallest buildings in South Asia Located in the posh area in Clifton, Karachi. Bahria Icon Tower is a wonder in itself as it includes residential apartments, the mall of Karachi, a cinema, and even a marriage hall. It has encompassed all the necessities and luxuries of life under one roof.
Chapal Skymark
Chapal Skymark, Karachi a jaw-dropping residential complex reaching the expected height of 210 meters. This masterpiece comprises 50 stories, with apartments of exquisite designs. This iconic skyscraper has an ideal location, with hotels, hospitals, and shopping arenas nearby. The tower also has an extensive security system. Currently, the tower holds the place for being the tallest residential building in Pakistan.
Dolmen City
This one is situated with a breathtaking view of the waterfront of Clifton, Karachi. The multi-complex plaza rises over 150 m. Just to give you an idea, this makes up to 40 storeys. The plaza comprising of 4 towers, includes residential floors, hotel, and corporate offices. However, its Dolmen Mall remains in the limelight. The 3-floor mall is a major attraction for karachites and other visitors.
Summit Tower A.k.A Bakht Tower
Standing at the 4th position, the tower measures up to 132 m, constituting 38 floors. The high-rise building is used for mixed purposes. It offers residential and corporate accommodation. The plaza also includes an enormous parking lot.
Lucky One
Lucky One is not only counted among the tallest buildings in Pakistan but also it is titled as the largest mall in Pakistan. Purpose-built commercial building has a height of 130 m and has 28 floors. The mall has international and national brands under one roof. Moreover, the indoor amusement park “OnederLand” is the ultimate entertainment spot. To put the cherry on top, the mall has a huge spread of food court where all eatery outlets are present.
Ocean Tower
Ocean Tower held the title of tallest building in Pakistan, from 2012 to 2014. This edifice is a complete commercial building. The first few floors are dedicated to the mall and food court. The rest of the structure has been occupied by various companies for office use.
Centaurus Towers
The 3 magnificent towers of Islamabad which can be easily spotted from the heights of Margalla are 116 m tall and has about 23 floors. Centaurus tower each has been allotted for a different purpose. One is solely dedicated to the well-known hotel Moven Pick. While the other two are for residential and corporate purposes. The Centaurus, however, is mainly famous for its shopping mall. It is a major attraction for foreigners and locals alike, especially bringing in the crowd from Rawalpindi and adjacent areas. And included in the top 10 tallest buildings in Pakistan.
MCB Tower
For a long time, this corporate structure enjoyed being the tallest building in Pakistan. The building measured up to 116 m, with 29 floors and 3 basement floors as well. The building held the plank from 2005 till 2012, losing the title to Ocean Tower. It was built as the Headquarters for MCB Bank Limited.
Ufone Tower
Close to Centaurus, you would spot another tall building around 113 m in height with 29 floors. it is prominent due to its vibrant orange and green Ufone logo from top to bottom on one side. It is quite evident that it is the headquarters of Ufone, and passing by this masterpiece, you can’t resist but say… “Ufone, tum hi tau ho “
Habib Plaza
Habib Plaza holds the great honor of being the first skyscraper in Asia. In addition to this, Habib Plaza is also written as the tallest building in Asia (1963-1968) in history. The headquarters of Habib Bank Limited is the only building that has held that title in South Asia. It doesn’t stop here, Habib Plaza has been the tallest building in Pakistan for four whole decades till 2005, when another headquarters of renowned bank MCB surpassed it. Habib Plaza gave competition to many tall buildings in South Asia with its 102 m height and 24 floors.
